Shara Curlett (New Zealand)
Shara Curlett is a children’s author from Aotearoa, New Zealand, where she lives with her husband and two children. Shara was formerly in the business excellence and improvement spaces, alongside the fitness industry, before owning her own business. Now, Shara is passionate about sparking imagination in children. She writes fast-paced, magical adventures that hooks readers in to turn the page, rather than turn to a device. Shara’s debut novel, Welcome to Miracle, is a middle-grade fantasy released in 2025, published by Scholastic Australia. The first book in her upcoming series, Protector of Beyond (also middle-grade fantasy), will be published in September 2026 by Penguin Random House Australia. Zeitgeist represented the Protector series in a hotly contested auction.
