Megan Heyward (Australia)
Megan Heyward is a writer and artist, teaching media at the University of Technology, Sydney for over twenty-five years. Her interactive digital artworks have been funded by Screen Australia and the Australia Council and exhibited in Australia and overseas, gaining national and international attention. After retiring from academia she returned to a first love – writing – and her debut novel Sharp Focus was shortlisted for the Australian Fiction Prize in 2025 under the working title Mood Violet. Sharp Focus will be published in April 2027 by Ultimo Press. Megan lives and writes from Darkinjung Country on the NSW Central Coast.
