Sophie Hardcastle (Australia | UK)
Sophie Hardcastle is a twenty-five-year-old writer and artist. Australian born, she now lives in Oxford and works as a research assistant in the English faculty at Oxford University. In 2018 she was a Provost scholar at Worcester College where she wrote Below Deck. Sophie completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Sydney College of the Arts (SCA) in 2017 with First Class Honours. Sophie has written two books: a memoir of growing up bipolar, Running like China (Hachette 2015), and a debut novel, Breathing Under Water (Hachette 2016). Sophie writes for various publications including ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Surfing World, Damaged Goods Zine, and contributes to The Mays Anthology and The Anthroposphere (Oxford Climate Review).
